PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO. Its only a few minutes long, so it won´t take up much of your time, but the message is SO IMPORTANT.
This is a story that most of you might be familiar with, whether if its because I´ve posted about it, or if its because you have had a family member or friend die as a result of drunk driving. That young man in the pictures was my brother´s best friend. 17 years old, about to graduate high school and go to college.. Some guy made a decision that cost this boy his life. No one should ever be put through what his family was put through, all because of a stupid stranger.
If you live in MN, then this most directly applies to you, but really no matter where you live, its a problem. Don´t drive drunk. If you want to go to the bar this Christmas and you´re driving, drink pop. Drink redbull. Drink lemonade. Drink water. Drink juice. Drink a shirley temple.
If you do drink, have a sibling come pick you up. Stay at a friend´s place. Get a hotel. Call a cab. Buy a tent and sleep in a park. Sleep on a bench. Walk home.
Whatever the cost of the drinks, a taxi, a hotel, a tent, etc, it is no match for the cost to someone else´s family when you hurt someone they love. Its no match for the cost to your own family when you hurt yourself.
I don´t know how to express it any better. Don´t do it. Just don´t. Its YOU making the decision, so make it.
