After getting my photos back from the Photo Studio, I was given a list of modeling agencies and places where I might find some work while I´m here.
Obviously I don´t want to pay anyone to make me into a model but I also don´t even think I want to be a model.. even though I would do photo shoots every day if I could! I am looking for more promotional type work that I can do every so often around the city. I was given the name of an agency called WINK Models which is a free agency in Sydney. They contact you when they might have work and that is the kind of thing I am looking for. I went online and applied and they sent me an email today with a more lengthy application and they also requested more photos.
I should hear back within a week to see if they want me! Cross your fingers!

A Couple of Tra La Las: Thanksgiving Down Under Pt. 1 →
Happy Thanksgiving again to everyone!
It was so nice to be able to silently celebrate it on Thursday here in Sydney but then also see all my family celebrating as well on Friday, which was Thursday back at home (If you can´t keep up).
Now, on Sunday (tomorrow), I´m having a Thanksgiving dinner…

I actually haven´t heard many people say this here in Sydney but I think if I traveled to smaller cities or different parts of Australia, I would hear this and whole slew of other lingo that would make me make this face:

The spider below is called a Huntsman Spider and we have one living in our bathroom. (NOT MY PICTURE)
This is DEFINITELY the biggest spider I´ve seen here in Sydney, but also the most harmless. The bite will hurt, but isn´t poisonous. When threatened, this spider will play dead.. which…

Do you ever arrive at your door, searching for your keys, only to realize that they are most likely in your other purse? I do. Not often, as this was the first time, but apparently I joined that club today.
Thankful for me, another roommate doesn´t have keys so we almost always leave the back…
